Day Training
Description
"Day Training" is a newer term in the dog training world, but we've been doing this for years here at Whatta Pup!.This is great for those of you who don't have time to train your dog, or are afraid you won't be able to do everything "right". We will even videotape the session for you for an additional fee.
Curriculum
With Day Training, we spend up to an hour one-on-one with your dog, training them behaviours that you have chosen. Once per week, we follow up with you to ensure you know what we have done so that you can consistently reinforce and generalize the behaviours, as well as maintain the training going forward.
Primary Consult
~ We will discuss your needs, devise a training plan and collect payment and keys.
Day Training Sessions
~ Drop your dog off between 12pm and 5pm on requested days
~ We will teach your pup the behaviours you have requested
~ We will generalize the behaviours (indoors and outdoors)
Final Consult
~ We will teach you how to generalize and maintain these behaviours
We are consistent in all of our training - we will use clicker-training during these visits as we find it is the fastest and most reliable method to teach new behaviours. We will teach you the clicker basics so that you're not in the dark!
For complex behavioural issues, different rates may apply.
Requirements
- friendly towards people (no human-aggression)
- dogs must be healthy and up to date on vaccinations
- humane tools and equipment (ask us!)
